PG Podcast 45 - Kathleen Tuite on fostering technical communities and learning in public
February 2019 (perspective of an assistant professor)
Kathleen Tuite (@kaflurbaleen) describes herself as hacker, researcher, and builder of crowdsourcing and collaborative creativity systems. Sometimes those systems involve computer vision, sometimes they are games, and sometimes both!
I've known about Kathleen's work for years now, but this is actually the first time we've spoken. We covered a bunch of topics around the high-level theme of providing environments that foster self-directed learning, especially in technical domains such as computer programming and computer science research.
